**A private, 60-to-75-minute walking tour held by Gabriel the Guide, focusing on the stories, architecture, and turning points that shaped the city and the country.** Because this is a private tour, we move at your pace, and there are no crowds or strangers to keep up with. The tour is conducted in **English**, **Français**, or **Español**. Or Swedish, if you prefer! ### 🗺️ What We Cover * **The Fyris River (Dombron):** We start at the heart of Uppsala's medieval city. * **Uppsala Cathedral:** A walk around Scandinavia’s largest cathedral to discuss the kings, queens and notable people buried here, the architecture, and a few hidden details that most tourists never see. * **Gustavianum:** The university’s oldest standing building. We will look at its history, learn about the anatomical theatre, and the golden age of Swedish science. * **Runestones:** We take a quick look at some of the runestones in the University Park, especially one of them that has a fascinating inscription and modern history. * **Uppsala Castle & The Gunilla Bell:** We walk up the hill to end the tour with a view over the city. Here, we cover the 16th-century royal drama, political assassinations, and the castle's role in Swedish history. ### 📋 Practical Details * **Duration:** 60–75 minutes. * **Meeting Point:** By the steps at **Dombron (The Fyris River)**, right in the city center (an easy walk from the train station if you are arriving from Stockholm). * **Language:** You select your preferred language when booking. ### 💳 Pricing & Booking * **Base Price:** **1,850 SEK** (Flat rate for your private group of 1 to 6 people). * **Larger Groups:** +200 SEK per person for any additional participants (Maximum 12 people total to keep the conversation natural and engaging). * **Cancellation:** Full refund if canceled up to 24 hours before the start. ### 📦 Optional Add-ons If you would like to pick up some local literature or keepsakes from our shop during the tour, you can add them to your cart now and it will be delivered at the start of the tour.
